Concept of the ADAN

The African Descent Authors Network (ADAN) will serve as a network and platform within African Descent Ministries. ADAN is designed to identify, connect, recognize, showcase, and promote African Descent authors. ADAN will display published works while creating opportunities to cultivate emerging authors and preserve the literary, spiritual, cultural, and historical contributions of our people.

ADAN recognizes that there are already gifted authors among us whose knowledge, experiences, books, articles, testimonies, scholarships, and ministry insights represent a valuable legacy. The objective is not to recreate what already exists, but to discover it, connect it, give it visibility, and create pathways for it to impact a broader audience.
The ADAN will:

Identify Our Voices

Create a national directory of authors of African Descent and their published works; provide greater visibility to authors whose contributions may not be widely known.

Showcase Our Works

Feature books and authors at ADM conferences, regional gatherings, digital platforms, author spotlights, book displays, and other ministry opportunities.

Connect Our Authors

Create a network where authors can build relationships, share experiences, collaborate, and encourage one another.

Ignite Our Creativity

Create environments that encourage continued writing, storytelling, scholarship, creativity, and the development of new literary works.

Cultivate Emerging Authors

Identify and encourage individuals who have the potential to become future authors, provide opportunities for mentoring, coaching, and development.

Preserve Our Legacy

Intentionally document and preserve books, articles, testimonies, biographies, historical accounts, theological works, devotional materials, and other writings that tell the story of African Descent people and their contributions to the Church and the Kingdom.

Inspire Generations

Ensure that the wisdom, experiences, faith, creativity, and accomplishments captured in these writings become resources that educate and inspire future generations.
